Top 7 features of the all-new Ora Good Cat

Switching from an ICE-powered car to an all-electric one can save a lot on the fuel bill. If you think so and are looking for a modern and affordable EV, your search may end on the Ora Good Cat. This cute-looking Chinese electric car has recently made its debut in the Malaysian market and is on offer in two variants - 400 Pro and 500 Ultra, carrying price tags of RM 139,800 and RM 169,800, respectively.

The trims come equipped with different battery packs - 47.8 kWh and 63.1 kWh, paired with the same 143 hp/210 Nm electric motor. The smaller unit promises a drive of 400 km (on the NEDC cycle) while the bigger can let you cruise up to 500 km on a single charge. The latter takes up to 60 minutes for an 80% SoC with the help of a 60-kW DC charger.

Intelligent LED Headlamps

The exterior of the Good Cat looks retro yet futuristic thanks to its unique cat-eye shaped headlight clusters. The lighting units not only look stylish but also perform intelligently with several tech systems fitted inside. These include an auto on-off system, auto high-low beam, follow-me-home function, and daytime running lights. All these together ensure exceptional visibility while driving. In the top-spec 500 Ultra, the headlights also feature a welcoming light effect.

17.25-inch large integrated display

The interior of the Chinese EV is laid out ergonomically offering optimum comfort to all occupants. The dashboard hosts a 17.25-inch large integrated display comprising a 7.0-inch digital driver display and a 10.25-inch infotainment unit. The modern cluster displays all the required vehicle information and is equipped with user-friendly functions. The in-car entertainment system, on the other hand, comes with modern connectivity options, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Fully-electric Panoramic Sunroof

Another highlighted feature of the new Ora Good Cat is the fully-electric wide panoramic sunroof that allows occupants to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and takes the travelling experience to the next level. It is to be noted that the panoramic sunroof is a part of the EV’s standard equipment kit. Impressive? Isn’t it?

Driver Massage Seat 

The all-new Great Wall Motors EV also has a massage feature for the driver seat. It is touted as the best-in-class innovative electric massage seat that relieves stress while driving. Along with that, the driver seat can be electrically adjusted in six different ways for optimum driving position and great comfort. It also comes with a Memory System with Welcome Seat Function, which remembers the optimum settings and automatically adjusts the seat to pre-set position quickly.

Integration Intelligent Parking

The top-spec version of the EV comes packed with an intelligent driving assistance pack offering Level 2 autonomous driving capability. Among the different active gears of the suite is an Integration Intelligent Parking system. This helps the driver in controlling the steering wheel, detect obstacles and signs, and calculate parking spaces, thus providing a hassle-free parking experience. It offers three modes of automatic parking assistance, including parallel, angle, and perpendicular. 

360° Surrounding Camera

The standard equipment kit of the Ora Good Cat consists of a 360° Surrounding Camera system, which includes 4 high-resolution cameras installed around the vehicle. These cameras facilitate a 360° view to the driver. It turns on automatically when the driver hits the reverse mode to accommodate all-around visibility.

Foldable rear seats

Along with hi-tech creature comforts, the EV’s cabin also offers enough spaciousness. The rear seats of the car can be folded flat to accommodate up to 858 litres of cargo.
