“Toyota 24Seven Road Assist” mobile app takes road assistance service to a next-level

KUALA LUMPUR: Nowadays, motoring has become more convenient, more personalized, and more enjoyable with a greater degree of peace of mind. Adding to this is UMW Toyota’s new mobile app called “24Seven Road Assist” that offers around-the-clock roadside assistance to Toyota car owners in Malaysia.

It is to be noted that the automaker’s 24/7 roadside assistance offer is not new; it has always existed via dialing a toll-free phone number. But, it has now evolved one step further with the convenience of tapping a few options on your smartphone to ask for immediate assistance in case of an emergency, experiencing a flat tyre, or running out of fuel accidentally.

Claimed as industry-first, the Toyota 24Seven Mobile Road Assist addresses the anxiety of not knowing if help is on the way or not, and what time it will take. For that, the mobile app has an SOS button with a real-time tracking feature that enables the users to track the travel route and time of the help that is on the way. It further ensures that the assistance is from a trusted authorised Toyota outlet.

The mobile app also provides a choice to car owners to select their preferred Toyota outlet that offers 24/7 assistance nationwide. Free minor on-the-spot repairing and nationwide towing (restricted to 50 km) are also available.

“We have been providing our customers with Toyota 24Seven Road Assist for the last 20 years. This is a service that continually undergoes enhancements to ensure that they never have to worry when they are on the road. As mobile technology grows more advanced, naturally the next logical step would be to introduce a mobile application that would bring this service to the next higher level,” said UMW Toyota Motor President, Ravindran K.

Interested Toyota car owners can now download the 24Seven Road Assist app from Apple App Store and Google Play Store for free. However, the individual who prefers to speak about the concern can still call Toyota’s Freephone number 1-800-888-247 for assistance.
