Toyota Alphard received a TRD Sportivo Aerokit

Kuala Lumpur: Last week UMW Toyota announced to offer additional kit at no extra cost from September 1 onwards on Toyota models, including Toyota Alphard, Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Innova. Among these, Toyota Alphard received a TRD Sportivo Aerokit, LED daytime running lights and door visors at no extra cost. For the same, there is no evidence or proof as to what the items look like due to the lack of respective images.

Between all the disguise, we received information for the 2.4G variant adorned with the new aero kit package. However, this new package offers minimum accessories for the vehicle, this includes a front spoiler and rear bumper applique. The rear bumper integrates “TRD” script sculpted across the rear surface. The DLRs on either side of the front spoiler consists of two diodes.

Associated with this additional package/kit, Toyota Alphard which is a Japanese MPV gets VIP treatment chased by many buyers in the particular vehicle segment. Everything else remains same for the two variants of Toyota Alphard which are 2.4G and 3.5G. The 2.4G four-cylinder engine gives a maximum power output measuring 168 HP at a peak torque of 224 Nm coupled with a seven-speed CVT gearbox. While, the other variant equipped with 3.5G V6 engine delivers power measuring approximately 271 HP along with the peak torque of 340 Nm. This variant is paired up with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Both the variants gets the 17-inch wheels, dual powered sliding doors, keyless entry, self-levelling HID headlights, push-button ignition, leather upholstery, dual moonroofs, auto wipers, power-adjustable first and second-row seats (with powered ottomans for front and second-row passengers), triple-zone auto climate control with Nano Ioniser and a 7.0-inch touchscreen DVD-AVN system. There are all-round disc brakes, MacPherson struts with stabilisers up front and a torsion beam out back, plus electric power steering.

Also, if you want adaptive headlights and a powered tailgate fitted in your Toyota Alphard 3.5G, you just need to pay some extra money. However, the standard safety kit comprising of seven airbags (including a driver’s knee bag), stability control and Isofix child seat anchors in the second row will remain same.

With the standard set price of Toyota Alphard and aero kit offered with it, 2.4G is priced at RM 333,547, while the 3.5G retails at RM 393,100 (both prices are on-the-road inclusive of insurance).
