Volvo launched a ‘Used Car Locator’ for certified pre-owned cars

KUALA LUMPUR: The luxury carmaker Volvo rolled out a new digital buying experience service for used cars in the Malay market dubbed as Volvo Used Car Locator. The new program provides an opportunity to interested customers to browse and purchase a pre-owned Volvo car conveniently from the comfort of their homes. 

The new Locator shows a consolidated list of Volvo Selekt cars as well as other Volvo quality used cars available across all the Volvo dealerships in the country. The company launched the Volvo Selekt certified used car programme in June 2020. 

This programme certifies those Volvo cars, which are less than five years old and have less than 100,000 km odometer reading. These cars have gone through a 125-point inspection, software upgrade, and genuine part replacements. Also, there is a minimum of a 12-month warranty, a free 1-year maintenance service package, and 12-month Roadside Assistance available with Volvo Selekt cars.

“The positive response we have received from Volvo Selekt has motivated us to give customers more choices on how they can purchase a used Volvo car while maintaining all the criteria of excellence, reliability, and performance that is expected of a premium car,” said Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Nalin Jain.

"We hope that more Malaysians can experience first-hand our pioneering safety features and innovation that has been engineered into each of these cars, making them some of the safest options in the market,” he added.

Coming back to the Volvo Used Car Locator, the website provides the full details of the cars listed on it along with a set of photos. It includes the production year of the model, its mileage, exterior colour, interior finish, registration plate, and so on. The Locator also comprises necessary features like a save search function, a financial calculator, and a custom comparison page.

The Volvo Selekt models listed on the Locator can be found only at iRoll Auto in Juru, Penang and at Sisma Auto in Glenmarie, Selangor, however, Volvo quality used cars are available at all twelve Volvo dealerships.
