VW Malaysia’s Instagram-exclusive sale to be held on 12.12

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced to hold one-of-its-kind, Instagram-exclusive 12.12 sale. The sale will be held for 24 hours, and feature 12 units of Polo with join accessory package and 12 units of spoiler-free Beetle. The VW tint is also set to be sold at a special discount of RM 12,000 at Volkswagen Malaysia’s Instagram shop. The two cars will be sold exclusively, only on December 12.

Interested buyers will have to pay a booking fee of RM 500 for the Polo and RM 1,000 for the Beetle to enjoy the deals. The payment will be processed via credit card, after which the buyers will get a call from a Volkswagen representative who will arrange for a preferred dealership to complete the registration and delivery of the vehicle.

Erik Winter, MD of VPCM stated, “Volkswagen Malaysia were pioneers in this when we partnered with Lazada to sell the special edition Beetle and Polo during their 12.12 sale the past two years. Both editions sold out almost immediately, and this year, we continue our trailblazing streak as the very first automotive brand in the country to sell products on Instagram. We look forward to making history.”

The general edition of the Polo is a 5-seater hatchback that comes with a 1.6-litre engine mated with 6-speed automatic transmission and is offered in two variants whereas the normal Beetle edition features a 1.2 TSI petrol engine and comes mated with 7-speed automatic transmission.

The MD also stated about how purchasing a car online is a new norm with the rise of e-commerce platforms.
