Mitsubishi Xforce variants: Engine and transmission

Both variants of the new Mitsubishi SUV are powered by the same 1.5-litre DOHC 16-valve MIVEC engine, generating identical horsepower and torque. The engine is mated to a high-efficiency CVT, promising low fuel consumption and quiet operation. The 2WD SUV delivers up to 750 km of driving range on a single full tank, with a claimed fuel consumption of 5.6 litres per 100 km.

That said, the two Xforce variants are different in terms of drive modes. While the base-spec Urban variant does not offer any drive mode, the higher-spec Ultimate variant comes with four: Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud, designed for ASEAN weather and roads. A first for Mitsubishi, the Wet mode offers better cornering and stability on wet roads during rain.
