2020 Lexus NX 300 Black Line Special Edition unveiled

KUALA LUMPUR: The luxury division of the Japanese automaker Toyota, Lexus has confirmed the arrival of the 2020 Lexus NX 300 in the US. It is now available in both FWD and AWD models. However, the saddest part is that only 2,000 units will be made for the 2020 NX 300 Black Line Special Edition. The sale of the car will start this November.

The new model comes with an array of interior and exterior equipment that make it look sharp and sleek. Moreover, the car comes with standard Android Auto connectivity as well. It is available in three exterior colour options, Eminent White Pearl, Matador Red Mica, and Nebula Gray Pearl.

Design-wise, the 2020 NX 300 Black Line Special Edition comes with the Premium Package. It rides on the 18-inch wheels having bronze-finishing. It is the first car from the NX family, whose wheels are further accented by colour key over-fenders. The fog lamp housings, wing mirror caps and Lexus spindle grille feature black paint job.

Getting inside the car, it features a bronze theme that contains the centre console, bronze stitched seats, key gloves, floor mats and door trim. The car comes with some Black Line signature items as well that include a black headliner along with some additional equipment such as a heated steering wheel, Lexus Memory System, heated and ventilated front seats.

Coming to the Malaysian perspective, the entire NX 300 range had been refreshed recently. The range now gets improved equipment levels as Lexus Safety System + is now a standard feature. A 2.0-litre turbo-four engine provides a maximum power of 235 hp along with a peak torque of 350 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The popular 0-100 kmph sprint is completed in just 7.1 seconds and the top speed that the car can achieve is 200 kmph.
