2025 Honda Civic Facelift launched in Malaysia - From RM134k

KUALA LUMPUR:  Honda Malaysia has officially unveiled the facelifted 11th-generation Honda Civic (FE), marking its arrival in the local market.

The refreshed Civic, first revealed in Thailand August last year, introduces updated styling, enhanced features, and the continuation of its trusted powertrain options.

The launch of the facelift aims to keep the iconic Japanese C-segment sedan competitive and relevant in 2025. In general, the prices have not increased, but the E variant is a bit more pricey due to the new infotainment system.

What’s New with the 2025 Civic?

In general, the 2025 Civic facelift brings a sharper, more dynamic look at the front while maintaining the tried-and-tested performance and equipment levels that have made it a favourite among Malaysians.

Most of the changes however are limited to the highest variant, the RS, let it be for pure petrol or hybrid variants.

The variant lineup mirrors the pre-facelift structure—comprising the 1.5L E, 1.5L V, and 1.5L RS petrol models, as well as the e:HEV 2.0L RS hybrid. Saying that however, the facelift adds a refreshed look with several design and feature upgrades.

Exterior Enhancements

As mentioned, the most noticeable changes are on the exterior front. The facelifted Civic sports redesigned front end and new surfaced taillights , with the front fascia now featuring the updated Honda hexagonal honeycomb grille and a more aggressive lower section, featuring slimmer side air intakes which helps further emphasize its sporty appearance.

At the rear, the bumper remains the same, but there has been a subtle refresh to match the car’s overall aesthetic by adding smoked taillights.

The hybrid e:HEV RS variant receives an exclusive set of 18-inch matte grey alloy wheels, further distinguishing it as the range-topping model.

On the Inside, Honda has introduced key upgrades to enhance and spruce up the feel of the Civic, particularly in the higher variants. 

The infotainment system has been improved with all variants, featuring a 9” touchscreen head unit , offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, replacing the wired unit on the outgoing model.

The biggest news however is the Google based infotainment system which gives you access to the Google Play store and Google's personal assistant, which allow you to download your favourite apps adding a touch of convenience to the Civic.

Other interior features, such as single-zone air-conditioning for petrol variants and dual-zone climate control for the hybrid, remain unchanged. The Petrol RS however is the only one that receives an extra bit of kit, via a wireless phone charger. The e:HEV already had it in the outgoing model.

Honda Connect telematics services continue to be offered, but now as standard for all variants, which allows users to access advanced connectivity and vehicle management features.

Safety and Driver Assistance

As with most Hondas these days, all variants of the facelifted Civic come equipped with Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assistance systems.

These include features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, collision mitigation braking, and more, ensuring a high level of safety across the range.

Also as standard now, all the windows come equipped with solar and security film which negates the effort to go install them yourselves at  uncertified shops.

Powertrain Options Remain Unchanged

The facelifted Civic retains its trusted powertrain lineup. The petrol variants are powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo four-cylinder engine producing 182 PS at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 4,500 rpm, paired with a CVT for smooth and efficient performance.

Meanwhile, the hybrid e:HEV RS features Honda’s Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) system. This pairs a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle naturally aspirated engine (134 PS and 189 Nm) with an electric motor that delivers 184 PS and 315 Nm. The system uses an electric CVT to provide seamless power delivery to the front wheels.

The launch of the 2025 Honda Civic facelift in Malaysia reaffirms Honda’s focus on providing stylish, well-equipped, and performance-driven vehicles.
