All-new 2022 Audi A8 L arrives in Malaysia; check what’s on offer

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Audi cars in Malaysia, PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), has recently introduced the all-new Audi A8 L facelift in the country. In its latest form, the fully-imported premium sedan boasts cosmetic and tech upgrades inside and out while the mechanical setup remains the same as earlier. 

The new Audi A8 L is on offer in a single S line 3.0 TFSI Quattro trim, priced at RM 1,046,907 (on-the-road, without insurance). Included in the price are a 5-year unlimited manufacturer warranty, 5 years of roadside assistance, and 3 years of free maintenance.

The German sedan looks exceptionally classy with a sharper design, larger wheelbase and longer doors. The front fascia appears distinctive with the progressive radiator front grille and revised air inlet grilles while accentuating the side profile are alloy wheels, 20-spoke structure style Graphite Gray, diamond-turned 265/40 R20 tyres. 

Also part of the kit is new Digital Matrix LED headlamps, OLED rear combination lamps with digital signatures, and adaptive windshield wipers with integrated washer nozzles.

Just like the exterior, the extra-large interior of the brand’s new flagship sedan is also fascinating and impressive. It is full of luxury, comfort, and technology features making the limousine a nice place to be in. The key inclusions are -

As for enhanced safety, the new Audi A8 L comes equipped with Audi pre sense front and rear, Adaptive cruise control with speed limiter, swerve assist, efficiency assist, and turn assist, Lane change assist, Exit warning system, and Cross traffic assist front and rear.

Powering the sedan is the same 3.0-litre V6 mild-hybrid turbo TFSI petrol engine, which generates a maximum power output of 335 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and Quattro AWD system, allowing the sedan to run from zero to 100 kmph in 5.7 seconds and attain a top speed of 250 kmph. The Audi A8 L fuel consumption is rated at 8.3 litres per 100 km.
