BMW iX configurator with 7 add-on packages now live in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia introduced the all-new fully electric iX in the country back in August and grabbed its 64 bookings in just five days. Well, now to make the aspiring customers’ online buying experience more interesting, the German marque rolled out the iX live configurator. 

This configurator will allow the buyers to choose from seven different and unique add-on packages available for the car. It will available for those who have pre-booked their cars or will place the booking before October 12, 2021. Each of these packages is individually created to show off the particular aspect of the new SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle). Let’s know them one by one.

Power Package: Available for both trims, this package costs RM 4,600. It includes a Generation 3 BMW i Wallbox for charging the EV at home. Delivering 11 kW of AC charging, it can fully charge the vehicle in 7 hours and 15 mins. Also part of the kit is Type 2 charging cable that will allow fast charging at public stations.

Iconic Package: For this package, customers need to shell out RM 3,020. It has an IconicSounds Electric feature that enhances the emotion of the sports driving experience by generating a special engine sound adapting to the car’s speed. The iBlue seat belts also come with this pack.

Technology Package: Available for RM 15,700, this package adds Driving Assistant Professional to the BMW iX specs sheet. It includes advanced driver assistance systems like Steering & Lane Control Assistant, Lane Keeping Assistant, Parking Assistant Plus, and more. It is to be noted that these features are already available with the top-spec xDrive40 Sport.

Design Package: This pack is meant to elevate the luxurious appeal of the iX by adding BMW Individual Exterior Line Titanium Bronze finishings here and there, and BMW Laserlights with “BMW Laser” lettering inside. It is priced at RM 15,740.

Luxury Package: Available at a whopping price of RM 33,490, this pack includes luxury appointments like a huge panoramic glass roof, anthracite headliner, Clear & Bold interior applications with open-pored wood trims and crystal glass buttons, and a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System mated to 18 speakers. 

Two Upholstery Packages: As the name suggests, these packs offer unique upholstery options - Interior Design Suite Castanea and Interior Design Suite Amido, both priced at RM 21,110,

Besides these packages, the automaker is also offering a free charging station installation and 1-year complimentary ChargEV public charging access to the first 100 customers.
