BMW Malaysia to soon launch 330Li & M340i facelift; coming in March

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that BMW Malaysia launched the all-new 2023 BMW 3 Series facelift. During the launch event, the automaker also confirmed the soon arrival of two additional variants in the model lineup, called the 330Li and M340i.

The BMW 3 Series current line-up includes three variants - the 320i, 330i, and 330e. All of these trims are in the M Sport guise, the first two feature passive M Sport suspension, and the latter gets an adaptive M Sport suspension.

What do we know about the upcoming BMW 330 Li and M340i?

Though much information is not shared by the automaker about the upcoming 3 Series variants, the 330Li is expected to showcase a more comfortable setup like its previous version with the comfort suspension. As for the 330Li, it remains to be seen if it gets the same M Sport suspension treatment.

The BMW 330 Li is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine pumping out a maximum power of 258 and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The drive is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW M340i, on the other hand, will be powered by a 48V mild-hybrid 3.0-litre straight-six engine setup. The mill generates 374 PS and 500 Nm of torque and is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

One of the key highlights of the upcoming M340i is said to be the mesh kidney grille and trapezoidal tailpipe.
