The 2025 BMW M2 showcases a very small evolution from its predecessors with a small but better enhancements across performance, technology, and design. Here are the key updates compared to the older model:

Performance Enhancements:

• Increased Power: The 2024 M2 features a high-revving six-cylinder in-line petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology that now produces 480 hp, up from 460 hp in the previous generation. This represents an increase of 20 hp.
• Improved Torque: The new M2 offers a torque increase, with the standard eight-speed M Steptronic transmission models providing 600 Nm, up from 550 Nm in prior models.
• Enhanced Acceleration: The updated engine and transmission enable faster acceleration, with the new M2 capable of hitting 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds with the standard transmission, a slight improvement over the previous model.

Technological Advancements:

• BMW Operating System 8.5: The latest iteration includes advanced digital interfaces and enhanced user interaction, providing a more intuitive and responsive experience.
• Updated BMW iDrive System: Incorporates more comprehensive digital controls, particularly for climate functions, reducing physical buttons and streamlining the interior design.

Design Updates:

Production and Availability:

• Global Production: The new M2 is manufactured at the BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosí in Mexico and is set for a global rollout starting this August 2024.
• The latest G87 BMW M2 is available in a variety of colour options, including three solid colours, five metallic hues, and six BMW Individual paint finishes. New to the lineup are Skyscraper Grey Metallic, Fire Red Metallic, Sao Paulo Yellow solid, and Portimao Blue metallic.
