GIIAS 2015: Mazda 2 Limited Edition integrated with new features

Kuala Lumpur: The Japanese Automaker Mazda has come up with an all new Mazda 2 limited edition at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) priced at Rp 272 million (RM81,459). This hatchback would be limited to a production number of just 200 units which make it all the more irresistible. The automaker has made this car available in two variants namely- R type and GT type along with two colour options including Snowflake White Pearl and Soul Red Metallic.

The mechanical specifications would remain unchanged as it is powered by a SKYACTIV-G 1.5-litre DOHC engine with direct injection fuel system. With the integration of technologies like dual sequential valve timing, multi-hole injectors and cavity pistons, this engine is crafted to squeeze more power. It generates a maximum power of 110 PS at 6000 rpm along with a commanding torque of 141 Nm at 4000 rpm. Further, it is mated with a six-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel paddle shifters. The SKYACTIV IV technology is further accentuated with i-Stop feature to deliver an impressive fuel economy.

To give it a sporty flavour, the front lip and side skirt extensions are designed in black colour along with matching black door mirror caps. At the rear end, one can notice a black roof spoiler along with a black shark fin antenna. Some standard features which will be carried over are the LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRL) and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Talking about the interior, the red car would get a black cabin while the white car comes with a similar pale interior. All the interior lamps including the map, room and trunk are integrated with LED lights. It is also blessed with an ergonomically-designed control panel which features an intuitive infotainment system.

To provide you a safe and secure ride, it features an efficient braking mechanism. Apart from the smart keyless entry, parking sensors are also provided on the side profile and rear corners for a better parking experience.
