Honda to display Modulo Neo Classic Racer, Civic Versatilist at Tokyo Auto Salon

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda is all set to grab consumers’ attention at the upcoming 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon which starts Jan 11, 2019, with its multiple offerings. The Civic Versatilist and Modulo Neo Classic Racer are some of the models that the company will be heading to the show with. Notably, the models on display will be the modified versions of the ongoing models.

First up is the Honda Civic Versatilist, which is meant to offer the ultimate peace of mind as per the press release. Looking at the released sketch, it appears to have a crossover-like appearance - raised ride height and rugged avatar. The prominent body cladding, wheel arches and front lip contribute to its muscular aesthetics. The fin on the front door looks a bit weird though but we’ll have to wait until the show to get more details about what it really is.

More to the display line-up brings to us the Modulo Neo Classic Racer, which carries old-school vibes combined together with S660’s body kit. The equipment it gets includes an aggressive front fascia, fender-mounted side mirrors along with some pronounced extensions. Overall, it looks peculiar to us but would be great to see how the consumers at the auto salon react.

Another from the exhibit list is the Jazz Elegant Colour Collection. Modified by incorporating Jazz Modulo style body kit, this creation is primarily targeted at the female section of the society. Expect some quirky colours and cutesy looks adorning the car. Moreover, it would be the centre of attraction for the majority of female buyers at the auto salon.

Last but not least, the Trip Van, the Well Concept and a kei car based on the StepWGN, is what you’ll get to explore at the salon. Expect this modified version to be displayed in an exclusive paint that is promoted as the new lifestyle and family car of the future.

Aspects like mechanics, powertrain and more remain unknown at this moment. We’ll have to wait until gates of the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon open on 11th of January 2019. Till then, stay tuned with us.
