Hyundai Sonata N-Line performs a 180-degree drift in the upcoming Hollywood movie

KUALA LUMPUR: After watching the new Hyundai Tucson in the Marvel Disney+ series, get ready to see the Sonata N-Line sport sedan in the new Paramount Pictures’ action film named “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins”. The upcoming Hollywood movie will be released on July 23, 2021. Other than the Sonata N-Line, the brand’s two other models featured in the film are the Hyundai Elantra and Sante Fe

The best part to mention here is that you will be seeing the Sonata N-Line doing a pulse-pounding 180-degree drift in the movie. And, to commemorate this performance, Hyundai will launch its two special editions in the third quarter of 2021. These include the “Sonata N-Line Night Edition” for the U.S. and the “Sonata N-Line Black Edition” for the Korean market. However, the company did not reveal any details about these models at this moment.

Now, let’s talk about the movie, it stars Henry Golding as “Snake Eyes,” who joins the Arashikage, an ancient Japanese clan after saving the life of their heir apparent. In one of the scenes, the “Snake Eyes” is pictured in a high-octane car chasing sequence in the Sonata N Line on the Tokyo highway. During the scene, the sedan performs the 180-degree spin.

The Elantra is presented in a Tokyo castle scene, where it is driven by Scarlett, representing the Joe’s in the story while Santa Fe just had a brief appearance.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hyundai Motor on Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins and bring our journey to life with exhilarating action sequences using stylish and sporty cars,” said Irene Trachtenberg, Senior Vice President International Marketing Partnerships at Paramount Pictures.

“‘Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins’ offers a thrilling opportunity to watch and feel the sportiness and agility of the Hyundai Sonata N Line in action, prior to the launch of the limited edition," said Thomas Schemera, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Customer Experience Division at Hyundai Motor Company.

A quick brief on the Hyundai Sonata N-Line, the car packs a punchy turbo engine, improved styling, and better steering and suspension that make the driving more fun.
