KLIMS 2026: Perodua showcases futuristic electric sedan concept, the C2

KUALA LUMPUR: After launching the QV-E late last year, Perodua is geared for the second chapter of its electric vehicle journey. The automaker has released a new concept vehicle at the 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show, dubbed as the Perodua C2 (C2 stands for Chapter 2), previewing its new phase of design language distinct from the earlier EM-O concept. 

Perodua’s new prototype is a B-segment sedan that represents an entirely different styling direction and incorporates the latest technology. It features AI driving assist features, such as real-time navigation, charging station locations, traffic updates, enhanced anti-theft features and assisted parking.

Inspired by Malaysia’s new generation of Alpha and Beta, the showcar is created by the brand’s young and talented designers, offering a glimpse into the future of electric mobility.

“The C2 is part of our ongoing EV storyline. It expands our narrative of made by Malaysians for the world as we improve the future of mobility experience for our customers,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.

“We have greatly integrated our P-Circle super app into this prototype so that our customers can access a world of convenience – from a secure e-wallet app to priority genuine parts delivery – the C2 represents the future in mobility integration,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.

He added: “The C2 will be our basis for our future EV, and we are looking forward to engaging with visitors to our booth on their views and comments to ensure that our future product will exceed our customers’ expectations”.
