Leapmotor C10 PLUS launched in Malaysia, 800V, 510 km Range, 299 hp from RM148k

KUALA LUMPUR: Stellantis Malaysia has introduced a more powerful and longer-range version of its C+/D-segment electric SUV, now called the Leapmotor C10 PLUS, along with a limited C10 PLUS Night Edition.

The updated model starts from RM148,000 and will be available in showrooms nationwide from February 2026.

The biggest change is under the skin. The C10 PLUS moves to an 800V electrical architecture and gets a larger 81.9 kWh battery. That pushes WLTP range to 510 km, up from the current C10’s 424 km.

Output is also significantly improved. Power climbs from 214 hp to 299 hp, torque rises from 320 Nm to 360 Nm, and the 0–100 km/h sprint drops from 7.5 seconds to 6.2 seconds. This makes it no longer just a family-focused electric SUV, it now has the pace to match its size.

Charging is where the upgrade becomes more meaningful in daily use. The existing C10 supports up to 84 kW DC charging and needs about 30 minutes to go from 30% to 80%.

The C10 PLUS raises that ceiling to 180 kW, cutting the same 30% to 80% session to a claimed 22 minutes. On Malaysian highways where DC stops matter, that difference is not small. Energy consumption is quoted at 15.1 Wh/km.

Inside, the layout remains familiar, with the same clean dashboard design and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified silicone textile materials.

Exterior and interior combinations are straightforward. Pearly White, Canopy Grey and Tundra Grey come with a Black interior, while Glazed Green is paired exclusively with a Camel Brown cabin.

For those who want something visually louder, the C10 PLUS Night Edition is limited to 50 units. It adds a two-tone look with a black roof, a more aggressive bodykit and 20-inch matte black “Trident” wheels. The Night Edition commands an additional RM8,000 over the standard C10 PLUS.

As for pricing and promotions, the C10 PLUS is listed at RM148,000, with the Night Edition at RM156,000 before rebates.

Stellantis is offering a RM9,000 rebate, plus an additional RM4,000 insurance subsidy for early buyers, bringing total savings up to RM13,000 until 31 March 2026.

Public viewing will take place at Sunway Pyramid, LG2 Orange Concourse, from 27 February to 1 March 2026.

Warranty coverage remains competitive, with a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first.

Compared to the current non-PLUS C10, the improvements are clear. The older car offers a 69.9 kWh battery, 424 km WLTP range, 214 hp and 84 kW DC charging.

The C10 PLUS stretches the range to 510 km, nearly doubles peak charging capability, and adds almost 85 hp. It is essentially the same car, but corrected in the areas that Malaysian EV buyers tend to question first, highway range, charging time and outright performance.
