MAS 2025: Jetour VT9 launched in Malaysia – 7-Seater SUV priced at RM 118,800

KUALA LUMPUR: The Jetour VT9 has officially launched in Malaysia at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, joining the growing list of three-row SUVs aimed at large families and urban adventurers. 

Positioned above the five-seater Jetour Dashing, the VT9 is a D-segment, seven-seater SUV that will take on established players like the Proton X90 and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro.

1.5L turbo engine and DCT transmission

Under the hood, the Jetour VT9 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque. This is paired with a 6-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (DCT) driving the front wheels, a powertrain setup shared with the Chery Omoda 5.

Spacious and practical

The VT9 measures 4,724 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,720 mm tall, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase and 144 mm ground clearance, making it one of the larger SUVs in its class. This translates to ample space across all three rows of seating, ideal for Malaysian families.

Two Variants: Comfort and Prime

Jetour Malaysia offers the VT9 in two variants – Comfort and Prime.

• The Comfort comes equipped with four airbags, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and a suite of essential safety features.
• The Prime adds premium enhancements including six airbags, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, rear cross traffic alert, and door opening warning.
  

Other Prime-exclusive features include:

• Driver’s seat memory function
• Metal sport pedals

Bold exterior presence

On the outside, the Jetour VT9 gets chrome window surrounds, a full-width LED tail light bar, fake quad tailpipes, red exterior accents, and roof rails, giving it a modern, confident stance.

The early bird promo offers an RM 2,000 rebate to the first 800 customers.

The Jetour VT9 will be available at selected Jetour dealerships nationwide, with bookings opening now. The warranty package comprises a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, a 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty and five times’ free service (labour and parts).
