Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia launched Outlander Sports Edition

KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi cars in Malaysia, has launched the Outlander Sports Edition. It is a limited edition and only 120 units will be offered on sale.

The 7-seater SUV, Mitsubishi Outlander Sports Edition gets dual-tone paint all over and that makes it sportier than the ongoing variant. The roof of the vehicle is painted black while the body comes with the red paint job. Speaking of the front fascia, the vehicle is equipped with a bold black grille along with an ‘OUTLANDER’ hood emblem. It rides on the 18-inch black alloy wheels.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sports Edition comes with a 2.0-litre DOHC MIVEC engine, which can thrust out 145 PS of maximum power along with a peak torque of 196 Nm. The transmission duties of the vehicle are done by an INVECS-III CVT transmission. The SUV gets an intelligent 4WD system which has three driving modes - Eco, Auto and Lock. The traction of the vehicle is improved and it provides more safety with 4WD, especially in slippery condition.

Coming to the interior section of the car, the Outlander Sports Edition features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Apple CarPlay functionality. It offers a lag-free experience while connecting the iPhone or iPod with the car. The screen also features Air gesture controls for driver’s convenience.

The other notable features of the interior are a red accent carpet mat, premium leatherette seats, automatic headlamps, keyless entry with push start button and automatic wipers. Apart from these, the vehicle features the dual DVD entertainment.

The Outlander Sports Edition features front parking sensors along with SRS airbags. There are a lot more other safety features available in the vehicle, including Brake Assist, ABS with EBD, Active Stability & Traction Control (ASTC), ISOFIX child seat mounts and Hill Start Assist (HSA). The SUV comes with Rest Reminder feature, which keeps reminding the driver for taking a break during a long drive.

The Outlander Sports Edition carries an on-road price tag of RM142,888 including 10% of SST. A total of five years of warranty is given by the manufacturer. The insurance is not included in the mentioned price tag.
