Mitsubishi’s familiar Dynamic Shield design returns up front, framed by a strong honeycomb grille and LED lighting signatures. Inside, the Eclipse Cross BEV carries a “Sporty and Modern” design language with satin silver trim, supportive seats finished with diamond stitching, and a five-passenger, two-row layout.
Ambient lighting is available with 48 colour options, which can change automatically depending on the selected drive mode. At its core, the Eclipse Cross BEV packs an 87 kWh battery, producing up to 160 kW (214 PS) and 300 Nm of torque. Mitsubishi claims this delivers strong acceleration and smooth, quiet driving — traits expected of a dedicated EV.
The car comes with four regenerative braking levels that can be adjusted using paddle shifters, and a one-pedal driving mode for city use. Charging supports AC up to 22 kW and DC fast charging up to 150 kW, while a smaller, medium-range variant is scheduled for 2026 to appeal to daily-use buyers.

Speaking on the launch, Takao Kato, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors, said:
“Following the launch of the Outlander plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV) and the Grandis hybrid EV (HEV), rolling out the all-new Eclipse Cross marks a crucial step in our electrification strategy in Europe. Having developed the world’s first mass-produced BEV, Mitsubishi Motors has made it a mission to provide environmentally friendly vehicles and has been working toward achieving carbon neutrality. We will continue contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society by expanding our lineup of electrified vehicles, as well as addressing the diverse needs of our European customers.”
With Europe pushing aggressively towards carbon neutrality, Mitsubishi aims to position the Eclipse Cross BEV as its spearhead electric SUV in the compact segment, directly competing with offerings from Renault, Peugeot, Volkswagen, and Hyundai.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross BEV will roll out in stages across Europe starting late 2025, with a more affordable, medium-range model following in 2026. Pricing and market-specific details will be confirmed closer to launch.
