Mitsubishi Xforce gets up to 60% guaranteed resale value in Malaysia after five years

KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Xforce buyers in Malaysia can now get a guaranteed resale value of up to 60% of the SUV’s on-the-road price after five years. There is a condition attached to that figure, though: owners must sell the vehicle back to Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) and buy another Mitsubishi.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the Mitsubishi Xforce guaranteed resale value after five years?

Eligible owners can receive 60% of the vehicle’s on-the-road price when selling their Xforce back to Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia and buying another Mitsubishi. A 45% guarantee applies when selling back without purchasing another Mitsubishi. Both options are subject to campaign terms.
  • Who qualifies for the Mitsubishi Xforce GRV campaign?

The campaign is limited to the first 200 eligible customers through a financing arrangement with Maybank or Maybank Islamic Berhad. Owners must also meet the applicable servicing, vehicle condition, mileage and other eligibility requirements.

For buyers considering the offer, there are two options:

Resale option Guaranteed value after five years Requirement
Enhanced GRV 60% of the vehicle’s on-the-road price Sell the Xforce back to MMM and purchase another Mitsubishi vehicle.
Standard GRV 45% of the vehicle’s on-the-road price Sell the Xforce back to MMM without purchasing another Mitsubishi vehicle.

Both options depend on owners meeting the campaign’s servicing, vehicle condition, mileage and other eligibility requirements. The announcement does not spell out the mileage limit or detailed condition criteria, so those are points to check in the full campaign terms before signing up.

Owners can consider the buyback options towards the end of the fifth year. They are also free to keep their Xforce or sell it independently, with no obligation to use either GRV option.

The ownership package also includes five years of free labour and a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage. Separate warranty terms apply.

As for the SUV itself, the Xforce has four selectable drive modes — Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud — alongside Active Yaw Control and 222 mm of ground clearance. Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing driver-assistance technologies are also available.

Cabin equipment highlighted in the announcement includes rear seats with eight-step recline adjustment, a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system and dual-zone air-conditioning with nanoe™ X. A power tailgate with kick-motion operation, storage compartments and smartphone connectivity round out the convenience features mentioned. Buyers should check the equipment fitted to their chosen variant.

MMM also points to its network of 60 authorised service centres nationwide for maintenance, genuine parts and aftersales support.

“Choosing a vehicle is about more than the features customers see in the showroom. It is about how the vehicle supports their everyday lives, how confidently they can enjoy their journeys and knowing they will be supported throughout ownership,” said Takashi Sakamaki, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.

“With the Mitsubishi Xforce, we bring together driving confidence, comfort, convenience and the reassurance of Mitsubishi's established ownership experience. Now, with up to 60% Guaranteed Resale Value after five years, we are adding another important element of peace of mind — greater certainty about the vehicle's future value.”

“Our commitment does not end when customers drive their vehicles home. Together with our authorised dealer and service network, we want customers to enjoy every journey knowing Mitsubishi is there to support them today and in the years ahead,” he added.

For anyone weighing up the Xforce, the decision comes down to whether the financing terms suit them and whether another Mitsubishi is likely to be their next purchase.

The 60% figure is the headline, but the 45% option and the buyback eligibility requirements deserve just as much attention. Full campaign details are available through authorised Mitsubishi showrooms.
