The upcoming model could be the Ford Everest Platinum, which sits above the Wildtrak in the global lineup and aligns with the ‘new peak of luxury’ caption.

Ford Everest Platinum: What to expect?
- The upcoming Everest will likely focus on delivering a more premium ownership experience to Malaysian buyers.
- It may come with cosmetic exterior upgrades like an exclusive front grille with silver accents, matrix headlamps, larger wheels, and Platinum-specific accents and badging.
- Inside, we can expect a more luxurious cabin experience with quilted leather upholstery, softer dashboard and trims, 10-way powered front seats, heated/ventilated seats, ambient lighting, Bang & Olufsen speakers and other premium bits.
- In terms of safety and driver-assistance, the new Everest version will most likely get a comprehensive ADAS pack, including advanced features like autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian protection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane centring assist, lane change warning, blind spot detection, evasive steer assist, trailer assist/sway assist, and more.
- Under the hood, it is expected to retain the same 2.0-litre bi-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, which kicks out a maximum power of 210 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and a part-time four-wheel drive system.
