Subaru launches an online booking service for XV and Forester models

KUALA LUMPUR: The COVID-19 outbreak does not seem to end anytime soon. The movement control order in the country is enforced till April 14 which can also be increased further. Amid these situations, the automakers are trying to tap their customers in one or the other way. A few days back, Volkswagen introduced an online showroom to let its customers purchase a car from home. The Chinese automaker Geely is also selling cars through the online marketplace and delivering the car keys via drone. Following the suit, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia, TC Subaru has recently announced the online booking campaign for the MCO period.

Through this campaign, the customers who are looking to buy a new Subaru Forester or XV can do that at their home comfort anytime. For the booking, the interested buyers need to fill an online form for these models at their respective pages available on the company’s website and have to pay an amount of RM 188.

After the form submission, a unique booking code will be sent to customers through email. And then, the customers will be contacted by the company’s representatives within five working days to finalize the booking. All the necessary arrangements such as car view, test drive, and loan application will be done once the MCO lifts.

Subaru Forester is available in three variants – 2.0i-L, 2.0i-S, and 2.0i-S EyeSight. The single petrol automatic powertrain features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 156 PS of maximum power and 196 Nm of peak torque. Subaru Forester price starts from RM 149,788. Coming to the Subaru XV, it is also available in three variants - 2.0i, 2.0i-P, and XV GT Edition 2.0i-P. The engine output stands at 150 PS with a peak torque of 196 Nm and the price starts from RM 117,788.
