Subaru offers a rebate of up to RM 30,000 on selected units of Forester

KUALA LUMPUR: The executive distributor of Subaru in Malaysia, TC Subaru has announced a promotional package for selected units from the Forester range. The said offer is applicable to selected model-year units that are available with limited colour options.

Under the Trade-In Assist programme, six variants of Forester are available, starting from RM 159,788. And interested customers can opt trade-in their current vehicles via this programme. Further TC Subaru is offering a five-year, 100,000 km warranty with the purchase of a new Forester.

The Forester 2.0i-L GT Lite Edition is the latest iteration to go on sale in the local market. Introduced in February, it is priced at RM 163,788 (on-the-road without insurance). As it is imported from Thailand, it includes 50% sales tax relief. The Lite Edition is based on the Forester 2.0i-L and it includes a sportier body kit. Other available variants on offer are - 2.0i-S, 2.0i-S GT Lite Edition, 2.0i-S EyeSight, 2.0i-S EyeSight GT Edition, and 2.0i-S EyeSight GT Lite Edition.

The GT Lite Edition kit includes - 17-inch 'snowflake' design aluminium-alloy wheels, LED headlamps, halogen front fog lamps, LED tail lights, and LED rear fog lamps. On the inside, the same trim features a dual-zone automatic air-con system, leather upholstery, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, 8-inch display audio head unit with six speakers, cruise control, and a 360-degree around-view monitor.

The Forester GT Lite Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated, flat-four, direct-injected mill that makes 156 PS of maximum power and 196 Nm of torque. The power is sent to the wheels via a Lineartronic CVT and Symmetrical AWD.

Subaru introduced the Forester GT Edition in June 2020. It features 18-inch wheels with 'GT' centre caps, GT Edition-specific leather upholstery, and it also packs the EyeSight suite of driver assistance systems. It includes a Blind-Spot Detection system, Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Sway and Departure Warning, Side View Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist and Lead Vehicle Start Alert.

For the convenience of its customers, TC Subaru is offering a 'Test-drive at Home' initiative wherein a prospective buyer is not required to travel to the showroom to sample the vehicle.

The automaker is following stringent cleaning protocols for customers’ peace of mind and wellbeing. All the vehicles are thoroughly sanitised after servicing as well as all the shared equipment is cleaned after use.
