Suzuki Swift Sport Final Edition arrives in Malaysia; limited units on offer

KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Eastern Motors has rolled out the “Final Edition” version of the Swift Sport in the Malaysian market. Paying tribute to the iconic legacy of the hatchback, this exciting version will be offered in a limited quantity.

The Suzuki Swift Sport Final Edition is priced at RM 137,900 (on the road without insurance), which makes it almost RM 7,000 dearer than the regular model. 

What makes the Suzuki Swift Sport Final Edition different?

The all-new Final Edition features exclusive cosmetic tweaks, enhanced features, and collectable appeal. Not only does it pay homage to the car’s legacy, but it also commemorates Malaysia’s 68 years of independence with a special “68” emblem.

These distinctive elements enhance style and practicality and add to the vehicle’s performance character. The interior forge finishings exude sportiness with refined craftsmanship, elevating the cabin’s dynamic and sporty feel.

At the core lies the same tried and tested 1.373cc BOOSTERJET turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that kicks out a maximum power of 140 hp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 230 Nm at 2,500 – 3,500 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission, enabling the hatchback to run from zero to 100 kmph in 8.0 seconds. The top speed is rated at 250 kmph.

The Suzuki Swift Sport Final Edition was launched by Naza Automotive Group chief executive officer Mohd Rizal Jailan at the Suzuki Cars Petaling Jaya Flagship showroom. The event was also graced by the presence of the former politician turned radio presenter and podcaster, Khairy Jamaluddin, who also marked his initials on one of the Final Edition cars.

Upcoming Suzuki cars in Malaysia

Naza Eastern Motors recently teased the Suzuki Fronx on its social media handles; it is a B-segment SUV that is slated to launch in Malaysia later this year. The automaker also hinted at its first-ever electric car, the Suzuki e VITARA, which may hit the local shores sometime next year.
