Tesla Malaysia adds a new hue for Model 3

KUALA LUMPUR: It is good to keep updating your existing models as it gives the consumer more choices and the concerned model remains relevant. Tesla is doing the same with the Model 3, by adding a new colour tone to its vibrant shade card.

The Tesla Model 3 is now offered in a brand-new exterior colour option called the Quicksilver. The latest hue is available at an extra price of RM 7,500, just like the Stealth Grey colour option.

Available for all three variants of the Tesla Model 3, the Quicksilver tone accentuates the car’s shape and changes when viewed in different light and angles. Isn’t it superb?

Talking about the EVs shade card, it now consists of a total of six tones including -

• Depp Blue Metallic for RM 5000
• Solid Black for RM 5000
• Ultra Red for RM 11,000
• Pearl White Multi-Coat at no extra cost
• Stealth Grey for RM 7,500
• Quicksilver for RM 7,500

Variants & price: In Malaysia, the Tesla Model 3 is offered in three variant options that range from RM 181,000 to RM 242,000.

Note, that part of the package is a 4-year/80,000 km basic vehicle warranty. The car’s high-voltage battery and drive unit, on the other hand, comes with an 8-year/192,000 km warranty.

Powertrain: The base model, i.e., the Rear-Wheel Drive trim is powered by a rear-mounted motor that offers the all-electric sedan a WLTP-rated range of 513 km.

The mid-sped Long Range All-Wheel Drive trim features a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup that carries the car for 629 km (WLTP-rated) on a single charge.

The top-spec Tesla Model 3, Performance All-Wheel Drive, is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup that on a single charge offers a WLTP-rated range of 528 km. Also, it puts out a maximum power output of 450 hp.

Recent update

Only last month, Tesla Malaysia commenced the Model 3 Performace variant deliveries in Malaysia. And to everyone's surprise, over 100 units of this trim were delivered in the first few days.
