Toyota Motor Corporation President crafts a mean version of GR Corolla

KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota has revealed the GR Corolla’s most extreme version to date, the GR Corolla Morizo Edition. It came alongside the GR Corolla RZ and is available in limited quantities only.

The GR Corolla Morizo Edition is the product of Toyota Motor Corporation President and Master Driver Akio Toyoda, a.k.a Morizo. So, you know where the name comes from. Mr Toyoda was involved in every step of development and was directly behind the wheels of prototypes.

 

Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition key highlights -

• The special edition two-seater offers increased engine torque (from 370 Nm to 400 Nm), optimised transmission gear ratio
• Compared to the standard model, it weighs less. The rear seat has been removed, leading to an approximately 30 kg reduction
• It offers improved cornering execution via high-performance tyres and monotube shock

• Exciting driving dynamics are on the cards
• Toyota has applied an additional 3.3 meters of structural adhesive and body reinforcement braces
• It comes with lower-geared differential gears along with closer ratios for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears. Resulting in a pleasing sensation of gear engagement and dynamic performance

• The braking system is improved, and the tyres have been widened by 10 mm
• Better concerning stability is also on the cards
• Inside it gets exclusive semi-bucket seats that hold the driver firmly, as he/she will be subjected to considerable g-force
• Cast-black paint covers the instrument panel and Ultraside upholstery on the steering wheel and centre console

• It is sprayed in an exclusive Matte Steel paint with the front windshield bearing Morizo’s signature as a testament to the unique creation
