Volkswagen Malaysia launches Pet Collection “Furever in Style”

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has rolled out something a little different from cars this time – a pet-themed lifestyle range called the Volkswagen Pet Collection:

Furever in Style. The limited-edition lineup is aimed at owners who see their cats and dogs as part of the family.

What’s in the Collection

The range features a mix of practical and playful items for pets and their owners. Among them are collapsible water bowls, leashes, collars, harnesses, bibs, singlets, and even small caps for cats and dogs. To tie the look together, matching socks for owners are also on sale.

Prices for the collection start from RM23.30 for a collapsible water bowl, going up to RM68.90 for pet singlets. Full price list:

According to Volkswagen, the idea was to extend the brand’s focus on connections and shared experiences beyond cars. “The Furever in Style Collection extends that spirit of togetherness, honouring the loyal companions who are part of Volkswagen customers’ everyday journeys,” said the company in its statement.

The Furever in Style Collection is available now at four Volkswagen dealerships:

• Volkswagen Glenmarie

• Volkswagen Puchong

• Volkswagen Sg. Petani

• Volkswagen Alor Setar

It will only be offered for a limited time.

Volkswagen says the project is less about merchandise and more about celebrating companionship. Or, as the statement puts it: “At Volkswagen, family includes paws and whiskers too.”

As a refresher, Volkswagen’s line-up in Malaysia isn’t huge, but it covers different needs from hot hatches to large SUVs.

At the sportier end, there’s the Golf GTI, powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine making 245 PS and 370 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox driving the front wheels. Prices start at RM252,990, with the Black Edition going up to RM258,990. Sitting above it is the Golf R, tuned for enthusiasts with all-wheel drive and even more power.

For those wanting something larger and sleeker, the Arteon R-Line serves as Volkswagen’s premium fastback sedan, while families are better catered to by the Tiguan Allspace, offered in both Elegance and R-Line trims.

The flagship in the range is the Touareg R-Line, fitted with a 3.0-litre TSI V6 pushing out 340 PS and 450 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

Priced at around RM382,690 (or RM402,272 with the Assurance Package that adds five years’ warranty and maintenance), the SUV comes with features like IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights, air suspension, a 12.3-inch Digital Cockpit and a 15-inch Discover Pro Max infotainment system.

Together, these models—Golf GTI, Golf R, Arteon R-Line, Tiguan Allspace, and Touareg R-Line—make up Volkswagen’s passenger car offerings in Malaysia, each targeting a different type of buyer but tied together by the brand’s focus on driving feel and technology.
