2016 Toyota Innova leaked brochure reveals specification

Kuala Lumpur: Toyota Innova 2016, before its arrival has been leaked through official brochures. Officially dubbed the 2016 Toyota Kijang Innova in Indonesia, Toyota has updated the model completely, not a single feature is repeated in the second generation Innova.

Testing since quite some time soon in Indonesia and overseas, the new Toyota Innova gets an evolutionary design language and definitely looks a lot more premium now with the newly styled front fascia with an abundance of chrome.

All in all, a total of three variants are expected to go on sale for the Indonesian market with the range kicking off with the G Type variant, V Type and the high-spec Q Type model. The entry-level variant, G Type features 16-inch alloy wheels and halogen headlamps on Innova's exteriors and interiors equip as standard, a seven-inch centre infotainment display screen, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel and a chilled glovebox.

ABS and EBD are standard safety fitments for the model, while airbag count has been increased to three (previous model had a maximum of two airbags). The base Innova will also come with ISOFIX mounts and seat belt warning.

Moving on to the next variant, V-Type features an extra large eight-inch infotainment display screen with a built-in web browser, Miracast, HDMI and Dina. You will also get a TFT instrument cluster and LED illumination throughout the cabin with this particular variant. Safety features remain similar to the entry-level variant.

The range-topping Q Type model receives LED daytime running lights with projector headlamps as well as Smart Entry Key. Insides of Q Type are adorned in wood grain style, along with it four power windows are provided. In addition to it, you will get a total of seven airbags, VSC and Hill Assist Control (HAC).

The 2016 Toyota Innova measures 4735 mm in length, 1830 mm in width, 1795 mm in height with a 2750 mm wheelbase. In terms of power, the Indonesia spec model gets the new 2.0-litre 16-valve Dual VVT-i petrol engine tuned for 139 PS and peak torque of 183 Nm. While the diesel engine, 2.4-litre GD diesel engine (replacing the 2.5-litre oil burner) generates a total power output of 149 PS and 359 Nm of torque. Both engines will come paired to a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission units.
