2021 Mazda CX-3: Buyer’s guide

It was only recently that Mazda Malaysia updated the CX-3 for 2021. The B-segment SUV comes with a revised set equipment and price list to match. The new CX-3 comes fully imported from Japan and is available in one single variant option - 2.0L, priced at RM 130, 729 (on-the-road without insurance).

Note, the price factors in SST exemption, i.e. 50% for CBU cars and is RM 3,900 dearer than before. And includes a 5-year warranty and free maintenance package (labour, lubricants, and parts) and complimentary SKYTINT window tinting, if booked until 30th June 2021.

2021 Mazda CX-3 Engine

Under the hood sits a naturally-aspirated SkyActiv-G 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine churning a maximum power of 154 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 206 Nm at 2,800 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV attains a top speed of 197 kmph.

The 2021 CX-3 without a doubt is a great car. Like its sibling, the Mazda 2, it offers a well-put-together cabin. Furthermore, its 2.0-litre mill offers a lot of grunt for a car of its size and great handling as well. However, the lack of cabin space might be an issue during long trips.
