2021 Nissan Navara facelift: Key highlights

2021 Navara was first previewed in March, and now in April, Nissan Malaysia launched the latest version of the ‘mother trucker’. In its latest iteration, the pickup benefits from substantial design improvements along with other highlighting bits. Engine

The Navara is powered by the powerful 2.5-litre Variable Geometry System (VGS) Turbo Intercooler diesel engine. This unit is a unique example showing the coexistence of power, acceleration, and fuel economy. Speaking of the latter, it has improved by 11 percent.

High output - 190 PS at 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm at 2,000 rpm

Mid output - 163 PS at 3,600 rpm and 403 Nm at 2,000 rpm

Transmission

The power is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. Its features include acceleration at low speed, quietness at high speed, and low fuel combustion. The manual mode can be opted to choose gears freely, giving more fun driving experience and control.

Ability & capability

With Navara, even the most challenging terrains seem like a playground. It can crawl, climb, and conquer all there is to out there. Providing it all these abilities are certain features like hill start assist, hill descent control, active brake limited slip, vehicle dynamic control with traction control, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, and anti-lock braking system.

Other bits enhancing performance are -rear multi-link suspension with dual-rate coil springs, electronic locking rear differential, shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive system (easy dial shift between 2WD & 4WD), generous ground clearance, superior departure & approach angles. Moreover, Navara sits on a fully boxed ladder frame that doesn’t twist over uneven terrain, giving it more strength and capability. The Navara facelift offers an amazing payload capacity of 1.1 tonne.

Intelligent mobility

The Navara is an intelligent vehicle, it is blessed with great features that enable it to become the perfect wingman when you are out there. How?
