Exactly one week ago, Honda Malaysia launched the all-new Civic in the local market and now as expected the sedan is turning a lot of eyes and seeing a lot of interest for prospective buyers.
Why? Well, number one it looks stunning, has a remarkable road presence that is further aided by elements like LED lighting, chrome finish tailpipe, 18-inch matte black alloys, and much more.

Second is its luxury-packed, utmost comfortable cabin that is again blessed with modern features such as full-HD 9-inch infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity, rear air-con vents, rear USB ports, 8-way driver power seat, leather-wrapped seat & steering, and electric parking brake.
Not to forget it is a powerful car as well and that brings us to our next point. Honda assures the most fun-to-drive experience with the new Civic via more power & more turbo in seamless shifts. The 1.5L VTEC turbo engine is enhanced to deliver more power and torque while staying stunningly fuel-efficient. Over this, the sedan gets a CVT gearbox, paddle shift, three driving modes, and remote engine start.
The last reason that we can think of for its popularity is its solid safety shield that assures full protection of the driver and passenger onboard. And today we’ll be discussing the same in detail, so let’s get started.
To start off, the 2022 Civic is loaded with a multitude of safety features that constantly watches over you. Part of the kit is -
Front and rear seat belt reminder:
When any of the passengers are not buckled-in, this system will notify you instantly
Parking sensor system:
Civic comes with 8 sensors that actively are on the lookout for hidden obstacles and lets you know their approximate distance
Honda Lane Watch:
The driver can spot cars in the blind spot via a camera present on the passenger side ORVM. The in-car display will help secure lane changes and safe drive
Multi-angle rearview camera:
It is super easy to park the new Civic, thanks to the three unique rear views by the rear-view camera offering total clarity and precision
Hill-start assist (HSA):
HSA assures that while on the incline there is no rollback when the brakes are released
Emergency stop signal (ESS):
With the help of ESS, you can quickly warn others of sudden braking via flashing hazard and tail lights
G Force Control (G-CON):
Civic’s G-CON structure not only absorbs and diffuses the impact away from the cabin during a collision, thus minimizing injury
Auto Brake Hold:
With your foot off on the pedal you can keep the brakes engaged, meaning full rest for legs in heavy traffic
ISOFIX:
Your child is safe and secure with the Civic’s world standard ISOFIX anchor points
Vehicle stability assist:
It heightens stability and control during cornering via reduced oversteer and understeer
Walk away auto lock:
Closes the door automatically after you walk 2 metres away or after 30 seconds
Time to discuss the real deal. The all-new Civic offers driving confidence like no other thanks to the most comprehensive Honda Sensing package yet.
