    2026 Mazda CX-5: Key highlights

    Bold look

The latest model underpins the "Wearable Gear" concept design approach, which is inspired by functional yet stylish clothing. It represents the latest evolution of Kodo design, featuring a familiar silhouette and a more modern, upscale appearance.

The front looks more chiseled and broader, with the Mazda Signature Wing grille positioned between the more angular lighting elements. The bumper also features a sportier design, paired with more pronounced air intakes.

On the sides, we can notice stylised side skirts and an edgier shoulder line, along with longer rear doors that offer improved entry and egress for rear passengers. At the rear of the vehicle, the SUV benefits from new, sharper tail lights similar to those on larger Mazda SUVs like the CX-70 and CX-90. Adding to the CX-5's imposing stance are 19-inch wheels and bold “MAZDA” lettering that replaces the usual badge.

    Bigger dimensions

The new Mazda CX-5 measures 4690 mm in length, 1860 mm in width and 1695 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2815 mm. Compared to the predecessor, it is 114 mm longer, 15 mm wider and has a 76 mm longer wheelbase. The rear cargo area is also longer and taller, and has a lower lift-in height for easier loading.

Thoughtfully crafted cabin loaded with tech

The cabin appears clean and uncluttered, with a calm and functional layout. It promises improved comfort to the rear passengers with larger door openings and increased rear legroom, knee room, and headroom. Contributing to the comfort and sense of lightness is a panoramic sunroof that makes the vehicle feel even more open and lively.

The interior boasts premium craftsmanship, featuring high-quality materials and Japanese-inspired finishes. The upgraded ambient light offers seven colour options to enhance the cabin ambience without distracting the driver.
