2025 ORA Good Cat Ultra & GT launched in Malaysia - From RM110k, up to 480km range, 171PS/250Nm

KUALA LUMPUR: Great Wall Motor Malaysia has officially launched the updated ORA Good Cat line-up, introducing two distinct variants for the 2026 model year — the Ultra and the sportier GT.

Both are locally available immediately, bringing refreshed styling touches, improved convenience features, and a stronger push toward style-conscious EV buyers.

As part of the launch promotion, GWM Malaysia is offering an exclusive RM3,000 early bird reward for customers who book the new Ora Good Cat before 31 December 2025.

This limited-time offer applies to both the Ora Good Cat Ultra (RM109,800) and the Ora Good Cat GT (RM119,800), giving early adopters added value on top of the model’s already competitive pricing.

The offer complements an extensive ownership package that includes an 8-year/180,000 km warranty for the battery, motor, and control unit, a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, 5 years of free maintenance, and a 1-to-1 battery pack replacement guarantee if battery health drops below 70%.

Two personalities, one playful EV

The Good Cat Ultra now takes on a more fashion-forward look, thanks to a new “So Blue” exterior finish paired with a black roof, black 18-inch alloy wheels, and a multi-tone interior that mixes teal and grey upholstery. It continues to target design-savvy urban drivers who appreciate quirkiness blended with comfort and technology.

For those wanting a bit more edge, the GT model adds aggressive exterior cues such as sportier bumpers, yellow-trimmed 18-inch alloy wheels, yellow brake calipers, and suede leather seats with yellow contrast stitching. The GT’s cabin delivers a racier ambience while retaining the same clever packaging and high-tech feel that made the Good Cat famous.

Powertrain & Performance

Both the Ultra and GT share the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor setup, sending power to the front wheels through a single-speed transmission.

• Ultra: 105 kW (143 PS), 210 Nm of torque

• GT: 126 kW (171 PS), 250 Nm of torque

Performance is brisk, with the GT and the Ultra rated at 150 km/h for its top speed.

Charging & Battery

Both variants of the ORA Good Cat support 6.6 kW AC and 60 kW DC fast charging. Using a standard AC wallbox, the battery can be topped up from 0–100% in about 9 hours, while DC fast charging from 30–80% takes approximately 38 minutes.

The Both the Ultra and GT uses a 57.7 kWh LFP battery, delivering an estimated of up to 480 km range (NEDC).

Charging can be managed through the ORA smartphone app, allowing users to schedule charging times, monitor battery status, and receive notifications when charging completes.

The Good Cat rides on MacPherson-strut front and torsion-beam rear suspension. Both models feature selectable Normal, Sport, Eco, and Individual drive modes.

Braking is handled by ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear, while the GT gains distinctive yellow calipers.

Inside, both variants feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and MP5 playback, connected to a six-speaker setup.

The Ultra seats are trimmed in synthetic leather, while the GT uses suede leather with memory and massage functions for the front seats. Both offer electric adjustability for the driver, with the GT extending it to the passenger side too.

Convenience highlights include:

Both Ultra and GT come equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including:

• Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping (LKA) and Lane Change Assist (LCA)

• Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Braking (RCTB)

• Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

• 360-degree Surround Camera

• Six Airbags, ISOFIX mounts and TPMS

Security equipment includes an electronic anti-theft alarm and remote central locking.

With the new So Blue colour option and a clearer split between comfort-oriented Ultra and performance-tilted GT, the refreshed ORA Good Cat range continues to combine cheeky design with serious EV capability.
