6,500 bookings received for new Perodua Axia; old to new booking conversion at 13,600 units

KUALA LUMPUR: The national automaker, Perodua, launched the all-new Axia hatchback yesterday and also revealed the car to receive 6,500 bookings since the booking announcement made on January 31, 2022.

For those who aren’t aware, Perodua also proposed the conversion of the old Axia booking to the new model (at a justifiable price hike). The said conversion rate stands at 13,600 units out of the total pool of 44,000 original bookings.

As for delivery, Perodua decided to deliver 2,900 units of the new Axia very soon. So, a little bit more waiting time for all the new owners.

Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, Perodua’s President and Chief Executive Officer on conversion and delivery subject said, With the all-new Perodua Axia launched, our focus (for this new model) is twofold, the first is maximizing deliveries to our customers and to convert previous generation Axia bookings to the all-new Axia. We are thankful and encouraged by the support our valued customers have shown us – for this new model as well as for all our products and services.”

He added, “Our 314,000 registration and 330,000 production targets for the year (2023) reflect our commitment to ensure that your bookings and trust will be delivered in the best possible time without compromising on quality.”
