992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The sole distributor for Porsche cars in Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Performance has rolled out the all-new 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S today. The supercar is priced at RM 2,235,463 in the local market, which is on the road price, without insurance, and inclusive of the current sales and service tax rebate, valid till June 30, 2021.

In terms of appearance, the all-new 911 Turbo S is significantly wider than the previous model while maintaining an unmistakable look. It is fitted with Porsche Active Aerodynamics adaptive aerodynamics system that enhances its aerodynamic performance with electronically managed air flaps at the front and a prominent rear wing at the back. Included in the exterior highlights are Matrix LED headlights, rectangular tailpipes with a high-gloss black finish, and 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheel. The wheels are wrapped with 255/35 and 315/30-section tyres, respectively.

Standard interior kit of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S comprises a 10.9-inch central PCM touchscreen infotainment display, Bose surround sound system, digital instrument panel, GT sports steering wheel, Sport Chrono package, 18-way adjustable sports seats, and full leather trimming with Type 930 stitching on front seats.

Coming to the oily bits, here the latest 992-generation 911 Turbo S is powered by a new 3.8-litre, twin turbo flat-six mill that kicks out a maximum output of 650 PS and a peak torque of 800 Nm. The engine is mated to a bespoke 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, specific to Porsche turbo-badged models only. Speaking of supercar quick acceleration, it can do the century sprint in just 2.7 seconds. Going all the way to 200 kmph from zero is even more impressive at 8.9 seconds. The top speed of the supercar is rated at 330 kmph. 

On purchase of the new Turbo S, the customers will get a four-year factory warranty and a two-year international warranty.
