All-New Proton Persona in 9 detailed images

It was in early March 2019 when Proton first previewed the all-new Persona in Malaysia. The sedan features an updated design language that is also applied to the 2019 Iriz hatchback. In the meantime, the company opened the new Persona’s online flash booking at RM 9.99, and the car was even put on display at the Malaysia Autoshow 2019. After waiting long enough, it was only a few days back when Proton launched the 2019 spec models of the Persona and Iriz. Here the limelight is on the 2019 Persona, whose features we discussed recently. Now its time to check out the car via its detailed images.

On the design front, the 2019 Persona takes inspiration from the company’s latest design language. Under which the car gets halogen headlamps with Follow Me Home Function and the indicators sit at the edge of the unit. As for the LED DRLs they are positioned lower on the bumper. It also features a new grille that benefits from Proton’s signature Ethereal Box and Infinite Wave pattern.

The side profile of the car is adorned with wheels that feature a new rim design; it gives the car a fresh look and allows you to show off while cruising. The electric door mirrors come with auto fold function, thus no more worrying about scratches or bumps while parking. Plus, the body-colored door handles and ORVM give the car a seamless look.

Compared to the previous-gen model, the new Persona looks bigger and better. The sedan now measures 4,362 mm in length, 1,722 mm in width, 1,554 mm in height, and showcases a wheelbase of 2,555 mm. The boot space now displays a capacity of 510-litre.

The rear profile of the new Persona like the front gets a revised bumper. Also, the car becomes more recognisable than before due to the new PROTON lettering on the rear bonnet. Visible In the image is the shark fin antenna that provides clear reception of radio station and also adds to the car’s premium quotient.

On the inside, the premium appeal continues as the sedan gets semi leather upholstery that not only elevates the elegance quotient but also provides ample comfort. Also, adding to driver’s convenience factor is the push start button.

A lot of improvements are made on the Persona’s equipment front. Like the car now get a TFT multi-info display with ECO Drive Assist. You can now watch essential information like trip meter, mileage, petrol level in style. And saving comes easy with the ECO Drive tech mentioned above.

Next up is the 7-inch touchscreen monitor that we can say is the star of the show. This intelligent information system comes with a dazzling display and is embedded with an e-sim to always keep you connected. This display also supports voice command, navigation, online music streaming, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more.

The steering seen here can be found in the range-topping Executive and Premium variants of the Persona. The steering wheel offers an excellent grip and comes fitted with audio switches allowing you to groove on the right music.

All the Persona variants are bestowed with 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating that’s because of its strong HPF body structure and several features. Making parking manoeuvers easy is the reverse camera with dynamic lines.
