BMW Group Malaysia showcases the all-new Countryman S ALL4 CKD

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Group Malaysia has kicked off 2025 on a high note by introducing four new products and unveiling its plans for the year ahead. The new additions include two BMW cars, one BMW cruiser bike, and a MINI compact SUV. While we have discussed the first three in detail, it’s time to check out the 2025 MINI Countryman S ALL4.

Price 

The new MINI Countryman S ALL4 is a locally assembled model, priced at RM 259,000 (with a standard 5-Year Roadside Assistance program) and RM 270,000 (with an extended warranty and service package).

Drivetrain 

Unlike the all-electric 2024 MINI Countryman SE ALL4, the latest model comes powered by a 2.0-litre inline-four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which kicks out a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 300 Nm. Power is transferred to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission, enabling the crossover SUV to run from zero to 100 kmph in 7.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 228 kmph.

Exterior 

Longer and taller than its predecessor, the new Countryman S is offered with the “Favoured” pack in Malaysia. It boasts an upright profile with a slightly widened track, short overhangs, and a compact bonnet. The front fascia houses an intricate octagonal grille bracketed by LED headlights, enhanced with a high-beam assistant. 

The side profile highlights a gently curved roofline and 20-inch Windmill Spoke wheels two-tone alloy wheels two-tone while the rear houses upright LED tail lights featuring three unique light signatures.

Interior 

The spacious interior of this German subcompact SUV is kitted with meticulously crafted and high-quality components and advanced tech appointments. The dashboard offers a wide forward view with the absence of an instrument cluster. As for driving-related information, a MINI Head-Up Display is positioned behind the sports steering wheel.

One of the most unique features of the Countryman S ALL4 is a 240-mm round OLED central display featuring two projectors for New MINI Experience Modes. 

Other key interior highlights include - 

• JCW sport seats upholstered in high-quality vegan leather on the sides.
• Electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, and massage feature.
• Wide central armrest 
• Rear-view mirror with anti-dazzle
• Anthracite headliner 
• 12-speaker, 365-watt Harman Kardon audio system
• 505 litres boot space, expandable up to 1,530 litres 

Safety 

As for safety and driver assistance, MINI has packed the new Countryman with the following gears -

• Driving Assistant pack - Front collision warning with brake intervention, Rear cross-traffic warning with brake intervention, Lane departure warning, Evasion assistant, Speed limit information and manual speed limit assist, Cruise control with braking, Lane change warning, Rear-end collision prevention, and Exit warning
• Parking Assistant Plus: Park Assist, Active Park Distance Control, Reversing Assistant, Drive-off Monitoring, and Rear Panorama View
• Driving Assistant Plus pack: Active Cruise Control with stop-and-go functionality, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, and manual and automatic Speed Limit Assistant.
