BMW M3 Touring launched in Malaysia, priced from RM 898,800: the first M3 wagon sold here

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Group Malaysia has launched the all-new BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive, unveiled at the BMW Clubhouse event at Factory 19 PJ. It is the first time the M3 has been offered in Touring form in Malaysia, arriving in the model's 40th anniversary year and priced from RM 898,800 (RM 950,900 with the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive programme).

530 hp, all-wheel drive, up to 1,510 litres of boot space

The M3 Touring uses the same S58 M TwinPower Turbo inline six as the M2 CS launched alongside it, an engine developed for racing and used in the BMW M4 GT3. Output is 390 kW (530 hp) at 6,250 rpm with 650 Nm of torque from 2,750 to 5,730 rpm, sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and M xDrive.

The 0-100 km/h time is 3.6 seconds, with top speed limited to 250 km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 10.4 to 10.3 l/100 km (WLTP).

Boot space is 500 litres, expandable to 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded, accessed via an automatic tailgate that is standard.

Chassis and exterior

Adaptive M Suspension adjusts damping to road conditions and driving style within fractions of a second. An M Sport differential and M Compound brakes with high-gloss red callipers are standard. The car rides on staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M forged wheels in Double-spoke Style 825 M Bicolour Black.

The facelifted front end brings redesigned Adaptive LED headlights with Matrix technology and a new daytime running light signature, framed by M Lights Shadowline and extended high-gloss Shadowline trim.

Interior and equipment

M carbon bucket seats in Merino leather are standard, along with an M Alcantara steering wheel with a flattened bottom, three spokes and a red 12 o'clock marker, a red M start button, and an embossed M gear selector. The BMW Curved Display pairs a 12.3-inch instrument cluster with a 14.9-inch control display running M-specific graphics on BMW Operating System 8.5.

Other standard equipment includes electric seats with memory, automatic air conditioning, Comfort Access, a through-loading system, and a 16-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon surround sound system. Driving Assistant Professional covers Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Lane Change Assistant, Speed Limit Assist and front and rear crossing traffic warnings, while Parking Assistant Plus adds Surround View and Remote 3D View. A BMW Drive Recorder is also included.

Colours, warranty and market position in Malaysia

Two exterior colours are offered. Skyscraper Grey can be paired with Merino Yas Marina Blue or Merino Silverstone upholstery, while Isle of Man Green comes exclusively with Merino Kyalami Orange.

Warranty coverage follows BMW Malaysia's standard package: a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and 5 years or 100,000 km of service coverage under the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive programme, plus 24/7 roadside assistance.

The M3 Touring was named What Car? Performance Car of the Year 2025, the model's second consecutive win.

It also represents a genuine milestone for Malaysia --- the first time the iconic BMW M3 has been offered here in Touring form," said Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia.

The M3 Touring has no direct rival on sale in Malaysia. The Audi RS4 Avant and Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate have never been officially offered here, leaving it as the only performance wagon in this class available to Malaysian buyers through official channels.

The all-new BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive is on public display at the BMW Clubhouse, Factory 19 PJ, from 17 to 19 July 2026.
