KUALA LUMPUR: The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the epitome of luxury, and it is too expensive for mud plugging. Its true place is rather in a huge mansion with a boot full of Gucci merchandise or in a swanky hotel parking. However, it’s not what Emma Hall from CNET’s Roadshow thinks. Emma, along with her navigator Rebecca Donaghe decided to take things to the next level at the Rebella Rally by participating with a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The Rebella Rally is a women-only endurance rally that covers more than 2000 km of terrain across the Nevada and California desert in the U.S. Here, the participants are prohibited from using GPS or any other map service. In short, the driver and navigator are required to find their way via old-school maps while driving through different terrains.

Emma and Rebecca won last year using a Jeep Wrangler. This time around, they decide to enter the rally in a shiny Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which they call it the Elanor. Since there is no option of a 21-inch tyre for Cullinan, the duo had to do the rally with winter tyres.

Well, nobody expects to see a Cullinan off-road, but that didn’t stop the duo from going ahead with the rally. And guess what? They won their class, and that too in the winter tyre fitted Elanor. If you wanna know how they did it, check out the 20-minute video by Roadshow that shows the hardship they faced along the way. We saw the video, and it was weird to see a shiny blue Cullinan in a sea of Wranglers, Pajeros, 4runner’s and others.

Without a doubt, the duo’s hard work and motivation is behind this win. But we can not turn our eyes on the fact that Cullinan, which is not a hard-core 4X4, proved itself. The credit also goes to the 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 mill churning 563 PS and 850 Nm of torque. This whole episode is a learning lesson that all is possible if you’re brave enough to pursue it.
