KUALA LUMPUR: PRO-NET, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Proton and the official distributor for the Proton e.MAS brand, says Proton e.MAS logged 1,928 units in February 2026, taking its year-to-date (YTD) total to 5,219 units, including exports.

Those figures include a RM4,000 launch rebate for the first 5,000 customers, according to the company.

e.MAS 5 passes 5,000 deliveries in two months, PRO-NET says

The headline claim here is delivery pace. PRO-NET says deliveries of the e.MAS 5 have crossed 5,000 units within two months of its introduction, a milestone it describes as unmatched by any EV brand in Malaysia within a similar timeframe.

In February alone, the company says the e.MAS 5 contributed 1,562 units, doing the heavy lifting for the brand’s February performance.

PRO-NET also claims the e.MAS 5 was the No.1 EV model in Malaysia for February and YTD, and even placed No.5 overall when ranked alongside mainstream internal combustion engine models.

Commenting on the update, PRO-NET CEO Mr Zhang Qiang said, “Surpassing 5,000 deliveries in just two months and achieving more than 3,500 bookings for the e.MAS 7 PHEV within one and a half months clearly demonstrate that Malaysians are embracing electrified mobility at an accelerating pace. These results validate our strategy of offering practical, value-driven electrification solutions tailored for the local market.”

He added, “We are humbled by the strong response, but we are equally confident that our focus on building a complete EV ecosystem, from product innovation to ownership support, is what truly differentiates the e.MAS brand. Our goal is to make electrified mobility accessible, reassuring and relevant for everyday Malaysian families.”

PRO-NET: it’s not just the cars, it’s the ownership “ecosystem”

Beyond the numbers, PRO-NET is framing the momentum as a confidence story. The company says buyers are reacting not only to the vehicles, but also to the ownership experience around them, including charging access, aftersales support, and digital integration.

For the e.MAS 5, PRO-NET positions it as an everyday-friendly EV aimed at Malaysian households, pitched as the kind of car that can sit as a second vehicle at home, cutting fuel use while staying practical for daily routines. The company also leans on its “value” angle, suggesting the model’s mix of styling, usability, and cost-of-running appeal is what’s keeping demand steady.

    e.MAS 7 PHEV: 3,500 bookings in 1.5 months, says PRO-NET

On the plug-in hybrid side, PRO-NET says the e.MAS 7 PHEV has generated more than 3,500 bookings within one and a half months. Its argument is straightforward, this is meant to feel like a natural step up for buyers coming from ICE cars, with the comfort of a petrol engine still onboard, but with electrified capability layered in.

PRO-NET highlights the e.MAS 7 PHEV’s safety and its EM-i hybrid tech, positioning it as a “bridge” product for Malaysians who want to move toward electrification without committing fully to a battery-electric vehicle straight away.

PRO-NET says it is encouraged by the early-2026 start, but insists the focus now is on maintaining momentum and continuing to support Malaysia’s broader move toward electrification, not just pushing unit numbers.
