Ford Thailand celebrated its 25 anniversary, introduces a special edition model

KUALA LUMPUR: Big year for Ford Thailand as it celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Part of the celebration is the special edition Ranger XL Street model that is only limited to 300 units.

This dressed-up Ranger T6 open cab gains inspiration from Ford Thailand’s racing truck and is exclusive to the Thai market.

The Ranger XL Street is not a new nameplate, as back in 2020, it surfaced along with the revised 2021 Ranger range. The special edition model is priced at 669,000 baht (around RM 86,075) and it also gets a 682,000 baht worth additional kit.

Ford Ranger XL Street Special Edition exterior inclusions -

• Bold F-O-R-D grille
• Front and rear bumper extensions
• Side Skirts
• Tailgate spoiler
• Black and body colour bodykit with grey front chin centre area
• Black 16-inch wheels wrapped in 215/70 tyres
• Black Wing mirror caps
• Black door handles
• New Silver and red decals

Further enhancing the SE model’s exterior appeal is the twin centre strips that run through the truck’s length and the side stickers that flow from the wheels to the bed of the pickup truck.
Ford is offering it in two exterior hues - Absolute Black and Lighting Blue.

The Ranger XL is no rage topper, but it still benefits from a rational standard kit, it includes -

What powers the Ranger XL Street Special Edition?

Powering the Ranger XL Street is a 2.2-litre turbo diesel mill that generates a maximum power of 160 hp along with a peak torque of 385 Nm. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
