KUALA LUMPUR: The highly-anticipated Volvo EX30 is all set to hit the Malaysia roads on September 25, 2024. And, here comes an exclusive opportunity for those eager to experience Volvo's new, fully electric SUV firsthand.

Volvo Car Malaysia has announced the Volvo EX30 Experience, a massive, first-of-its-kind launch showcase and driving experience event set to be held from 26 to 29 September at KL Base, Sungai Besi.

Volvo EX30 Experience highlights 

As a participant in the Volvo EX30 Experience event, you will have the opportunity to check out the EV in person and understand the ideas, inspirations, calculations, and tests that made a significant impact on its design. You will also learn about the EV’s cutting-edge technology and safety features through an interactive, guided car ride.

Along with that, the exciting event will offer you a chance to experience the Volvo EX30’s blistering acceleration and dynamic handling on the renowned Sungai Besi airstrip. You can drive the SUV on real-world city roads to get to know its urban-friendly design.

At this four-day event, you will enjoy warm Scandinavian hospitality and receive expert guidance from knowledgeable consultants representing Volvo’s authorised dealers.

A brief about the upcoming Volvo EX30

The Volvo EX30 is the brand’s smallest SUV measuring 4,233 mm in length, 1,837 mm in width, and 1,549 mm in height, and has a 2,650-mm long wheelbase. It boasts a modern design with the brand’s signature ‘Thor’s hammer’ lighting signature and comes with advanced technology. Touted as Volvo’s fastest-accelerating car, the EX30 is “designed to have the smallest carbon footprint ever of any Volvo car to date.”

Some of the stand-out features include - a new automatic parking feature, Google Built-in, upgraded Pilot Assist, and 360° environmental awareness backed with multiple cameras, sensors, and radars. About 25% of all aluminium and 17% of all steel and plastics in the electric SUV are recycled. Additionally, 30% of the decor parts are made from recycled plastic.

The EV comes in single and dual-motor setups in global markets. The single-motor variant is capable of generating a maximum power of 272 PS and a peak torque of 343 Nm while the dual-motor version is good for making 428 PS and 543 Nm. Volvo Cars Malaysia is expected to bring the dual-motor variant to the local shores. 

Two available battery pack options include a 51 kWh lithium-ion phosphate and a 69 kWh nickel manganese cobalt, which offer a driving range between 344 km and 480 km.
