Here’s your first look at the Toyota Veloz cabin

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota opened the bookings for its highly-awaited MPV, the Veloz, last month. Back then, the Japanese automaker also revealed the model’s specs sheet along with the estimated pricing. The latest update around the upcoming Veloz is a new teaser revealing its premium cabin for the very first time. 

The company posted the said teaser on its social media handle with a caption that reads, “The perfect choice for any occasion, the All-New Veloz gives you the freedom to experience happiness from any angle with your loved ones.”

The image showcases the MPV’s leather-wrapped steering wheel and the 9-inch infotainment screen positioned just adjacent to that. The latter will come mated to the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options, as confirmed by the automaker.

Further, we can see the blue ambient lighting around the central console and door panels, offering a premium look. The door handles also appear to get carbon fibre prints for a sporty look. 

Here’s a quick recap of the 2022 Toyota Veloz key highlights - 

• The MPV will be available in a sole 1.5 A/T trim at an estimated price of RM 95k
• It will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-popper mill tied with a 7-speed CVT sequential shifting gearbox. The power figures are not yet confirmed

• Equipment list includes LED headlamps with sequential turn signals, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, full-width tail lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, 7.0-inch coloured multi-info display, Qi Wireless charging pad, USB charging ports, automatic air-conditioning system, electric parking brake with automatic brake hold and Vehicle Telematic system
• As for safety, it will be equipped with Toyota Safety Sense advanced-driver assistance pack, including features like adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision system, and autonomous emergency braking
• Included in the Toyota Veloz colour options are - Blue Metallic, White, Metallic Bluish Black, Silver Metallic, and Red Metallic
