JETOUR Malaysia hands over T2 keys to Kamal Adli, Sara Ali and more celebs at KLIMS 2026

KUALA LUMPUR: JETOUR Malaysia turned its booth at KLIMS 2026 into a handover ceremony this week, officially gifting brand new JETOUR T2 units to four local personalities: Kamal Adli, Ernie Zakri, Sara Ali and Hayden Wong.

Actor Azhan Rani couldn't make it down to MITEC in person, so he joined the celebration virtually to share his own excitement about becoming part of what JETOUR is calling its growing family of owners.

The brand also set up a meet and greet at the booth, giving fans a chance to line up and meet the artists face to face.

For Kamal Adli and Sara Ali, this isn't really a cold introduction to the brand. Both actors worked alongside JETOUR vehicles on the set of the upcoming film Takluk 2: Ops Daulat, where the cars are also set to make an appearance on screen.

Kamal Adli on how that experience led him here:

"My first experience with JETOUR was during the filming of Takluk 2: Ops Daulat, where I had the chance to drive one of its vehicles on set. The experience left a positive impression on me and sparked my interest in the brand. I'm excited to begin this new journey with the JETOUR T2."

Sara Ali had much the same to say:

"I have always loved cars with a bold, adventurous look, but comfort is just as important to me. I was first introduced to JETOUR while filming Takluk 2: Ops Daulat, where I had the chance to experience one of its vehicles on set. It left a great impression on me, and when I first saw the JETOUR T2, I instantly fell in love with its design. I am excited to start this new journey and create many special memories with my family along the way."

Singer Ernie Zakri's reasoning was a lot more practical, framing the T2 as something that just needs to keep up with a packed schedule:

"As someone who is constantly balancing work commitments, performances and family time, having a vehicle that fits seamlessly into different parts of my life is important. What I appreciate most is being able to focus on the moments that matter, whether it is travelling to an event, spending quality time with my loved ones or simply enjoying the journey in between. I am looking forward to creating many meaningful memories with the JETOUR T2 in the years ahead."

Azhan Rani's path to the T2 ran through a friend. He recalled:

"I first heard about the JETOUR T2 through my friend, Beto Kusyairy, who invited me to visit the showroom before the model was officially launched. I was immediately drawn to its design and technology, and after a test drive, I knew it was the vehicle for me. On the very first day I received the T2, I drove it to Kuala Terengganu for a drama shoot. The experience on the road was fantastic. It offers the perfect combination of rugged styling, comfort, and driving enjoyment, making it one of the best decisions I have made."

Hayden Wong rounded off the lineup with a more reflective take on why he signed on:

"I always think that some of the best stories begin with a journey. Whether it is travelling for work, meeting new people or taking time to have a recharge, every trip brings new inspiration, and also many of my experiences, inspirations and memories come from the journeys I take. JETOUR's philosophy resonates with me because it reminds us to enjoy the journey, not just the destination. I am excited to have the JETOUR T2 as part of my future adventures and the memories yet to be created."

 The JETOUR T2 is sold in Malaysia as a single, fully loaded variant priced at RM156,800 nett, which works out to RM157,669 on the road without insurance.

Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine good for 245 PS and 375 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and all-wheel drive as standard, badged XWD by JETOUR.

Visually, it leans hard into the boxy, Land Rover Defender and Ford Bronco school of design rather than the soft-roader look most C-segment SUVs go for these days.

The nearest thing Malaysian buyers will cross-shop it against is the GWM Tank 300, though that one is fully imported, built on a body-on-frame chassis and starts at around RM250,000, so the T2 is really carving out its own, more affordable lane.

JETOUR is also using the KLIMS 2026 run to sweeten the deal for show visitors, with cash rebates of up to RM2,000 on the T2, RM10,000 on the Dashing and RM15,000 on the VT9, the brand's other two models already on sale in Malaysia.

Beyond the freebies and the celebrity rollout, JETOUR used the event to push its newly launched JETOUR Malaysia Club, pitched as a place for owners to swap notes and get early access to brand events.

Whether that turns into an actual active community or just another mailing list remains to be seen, but it's all part of the brand's bigger push to get Malaysian buyers comfortable with a JETOUR badge that's still pretty new on local roads.
