Leapmotor rolls out OTA software upgrade for B10 EV

KUALA LUMPUR: Leapmotor has announced the latest over-the-air (OTA) software upgrade for the B10 electric SUV, aimed at offering enhanced driving comfort, connectivity and safety to customers. The OTA update introduces the One-Pedal driving feature, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and a range of refinements, making the EV more intuitive to use. 

2026 Leapmotor B10: What’s new?

One-Pedal driving capability

The EV now features the One-Pedal driving system, which enables the driver to control most acceleration and deceleration directly through the accelerator pedal. This enhanced energy recovery logic leads to smoother control and improved efficiency. 

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The vehicle now supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, available via wired or wireless connections, giving drivers seamless access to their favourite mobile apps. 

User interface and driver support enhancements

The Leapmotor B10 also gets a smarter interface and driver support enhancements, including - 

• Drivers can personalise their steering wheel buttons with new multifunction settings, including shortcuts for ADAS features and drive modes. 
• A new preloading “Quick Start” feature on the infotainment system, which reduces waiting time upon startup and launches the system faster. 
• A new left-side split-screen layout for navigation, offering improved visibility when using multiple applications. 
• Expanded voice command functions
• Optimised in-vehicle life presence detection reminder along with improved Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centring Control for smoother deceleration when approaching curves. 

Started deploying in early February, these software OTA updates are in the rolling phase. Existing B10 customers will receive an in-vehicle notification when the update becomes available, and they can install it directly through the car’s interface. 

The rollout of such updates shortly after the EV’s launch underscores the automaker’s dedication to rapid, meaningful software evolution. “It reflects the brand’s long-term commitment to continuously improving the onboard experience for all its customers, ensuring that every vehicle enhances its capabilities over time without requiring a visit to the dealership.”

Leapmotor B10: Price and specifications 

Stellantis Malaysia launched the highly anticipated B10 EV in December 2025. The C-segment SUV is offered in two variants - Life and Design, priced at RM 107,800 and RM 118,800, respectively. 

Both variants are powered by the same rear-mounted electric motor generating 218 PS of maximum power and 240 Nm of peak torque. Two available battery options include  56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh, offering a WLTP-claimed driving range of 361 km and 434 km, respectively.
