Malaysia Autoshow 2024: Electric SUV Neta X officially introduced; check details

KUALA LUMPUR: Neta’s booth at the Malaysian Autoshow 2024 is attracting a lot of attention, all thanks to its long lineup of cars. One of which is the battery-electric SUV, the Neta X, which has been officially introduced in the country.

Price and variant

The Neta X lineup comprises four variants: 400 Comfort, 400 Luxury, 500 Comfort, and 500 Luxury. They are priced between RM 119,900 and RM 139,900. The automaker will soon disclose the exact pricing.

Powertrain

The Neta X is offered in a single powertrain specification, which includes a single front-mounted motor with a maximum power output of 163 PS and a peak torque of 210 Nm.

Performance

The above-mentioned specs allow the electric SUV to complete a century sprint in under 9.5 seconds and attain a top speed of over 150 kmph.

Battery & Range

The Neta X-400 features a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with a capacity of 52.49 kWh, whereas the X-500 gets the same battery but with a greater capacity of 64.14 kWh. What remains is the battery-intelligent thermal management system.

As for respective battery range, the numerical prefix of each variant is where the answer lies, i.e.,

Charging setup

The Neta X battery is recharged via a 6.6 kW onboard AC charger, which takes 9 hours and 11 hours to fully charge in X 400 and X 500, respectively. The DC fast charging takes the battery from 30-80% in just 30 minutes. The EV also supports V2L reverse charging.

Braking & handling

The Neta X features MacPherson struts in front and a multi-link layout at the rear. The EV also features three driving modes (Eco, Sport, and Comfort), auto hold and one-pedal driving mode.
