Malaysia welcomes the 2018 Mazda CX-3 facelift

KUALA LUMPUR: Mazda CX-3 2018 has just been launched in Malaysia. The car has received many updates. The model will now come with a 2.0litre SkyActiv-G petrol guise. The 2018 facelift model produces 151hp at 6,000rpm and 204Nm of torque at 2,800rpm and drives via a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission. The driveline holds Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control (GVC) system.

The crossover has received changes in its exterior as well. These include restyled rear lamps, new grille with double chromium slats, taillight accessories of CX-5 and restyled 18-inch alloy wheels with 215/50 profile tyres. The interiors have been redesigned as well. The most notable change is the addition of a new electronic parking brake instead of the manual brake between the front seat. This will enable the attachment of auto brake hold. added to the dashboard of the new car, the updated gear spindle lodges a place for sport mode selector, similar to that which is found in the bigger sibling, the CX-5.

Updates in the new CX-3 include, LED automatic headlamps, foglamps, a keyless entry and start, a 10-way adjustable driver seat with memory function, automatic wipers and automatic air-conditioning. Also updated are the color heads-up display, cruise control, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, reversing camera, six speakers with MZD Connect system that has a 7-inch touchscreen.
Talking about safety, the car is well equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic, which are joined to the systems including ABS, EBD with Brake assist, DSC (Dynamic stability control), six airbags and ISOFIX rear child seat anchors.

Not only this, for more comfort, the front boarders get an armrest with storage underneath and the rear boarders also get a centre armrest and deployable cup holders. The dashboard in the front includes slimmer air-con vents, a shorter chromium bar and suede-like trim, thicker door panels, tailgate glass, headliner and improved door seals.

The price of RM121, 134 will be revised after the SST has been finalized but the Company Mazda will take up the price differences for the models booked before September 1.

The facelifted Mazda CX-3 is an imported model (CBU) from Japan. Each model of Mazda CX-3 will be aided by a five-year/100,000 Km warranty and a three-year/60,000 km warranty with free maintenance. Colors available for Mazda CX-3 are soul red crystal, machine grey, snowflake white pearl, deep crystal blue, ceramic metallic and jet black.
