MAS 2025: Audi Q7 CKD launched - RM459,990

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2025 Malaysia Autoshow marked a major milestone in Audi’s regional journey with the official launch of the locally assembled Audi Q7 CKD. Assembled in Pekan, Pahang, this is not only the first time the Audi Q7 is being built in Malaysia, but it also represents the brand’s first local production venture in Southeast Asia.

Audi Q7 CKD officially debuts in Malaysia

Positioned as a premium D-segment luxury SUV, the 2025 Audi Q7 CKD Malaysia model is now available for purchase at a price of RM459,990. This is a significant reduction from the near RM800,000 price point it would carry as a fully imported unit.

The local assembly of the Q7 at the Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM) facility means more competitive pricing, faster delivery times, and strong alignment with Malaysia’s National Automotive Policy 2020 (NAP 2020), which promotes the country as a regional manufacturing hub.

Audi Q7 CKD specs and features for Malaysia

The Audi Q7 S line CKD is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine paired with a 48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) system. It delivers an output of 340 PS and 500 Nm of torque, channeled through an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

Performance figures are impressive, with 0–100 km/h done in just 5.6 seconds, and a top speed of 250 km/h. The SUV also features adaptive air suspension sport, all-wheel steering, and Audi Drive Select with up to 7 driving modes.

Other premium highlights include:

• Digital OLED taillights
• S line exterior styling with Black Styling Package Plus

Inside, the 7-seater SUV is finished in Valcona leather Sport Seat Plus with S embossing. The front seats come with massage function, while ambient lighting (30 colours), a Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System with 19 speakers, and a 4-zone climate control system elevate the luxury experience.

Convenience features include soft close doors, wireless charging pad, kick sensor tailgate, power latching doors, and a flexible second-row seat system for easier third-row access.

Safety tech is also comprehensive:

• Head-Up Display

Exterior colours offered in Malaysia include Glacier White, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black (metallic), and Daytona Grey (pearl effect).

Local assembly in Pekan – A strategic move

The Audi Q7 CKD Malaysia is assembled at the same Pekan facility that also builds Volkswagen vehicles. With a production capacity of up to 5,000 units annually, the plant currently outputs three Q7 units per day, with scalability based on market demand.
Over RM12 million has been invested to upgrade the facility’s infrastructure and support premium vehicle assembly. The Q7 is just the beginning—Audi plans to expand the portfolio to include locally assembled BEVs for Malaysia and ASEAN exports in the near future.

The launch of the Audi Q7 2025 CKD is a timely response to growing demand for luxury SUVs in Malaysia, especially in the D-segment category.
