Mazda organises Advance Driving experience for CX-5 owners

KUALA LUMPUR: Every time an automaker comes up with a new event or programme for its customers, its popularity and preferability among the prospects increase to a great extent. The latest one to have joined the coaster is Mazda Malaysia.

Yes, Bermaz Motor, the official distributor of Mazda cars in Malaysia has announced the details of the upcoming event that it will be hosting. This programme is known as the Advance Driving Ownership experience and is slated to be held at MAEPS Serdang.

This Advance Driving programme is hosted as an initiative from the automaker’s MazdaSports Academy and is designed in a way to allow the current owners of CX-5 to experience what the Jinba-Ittai philosophy of the company offers. It will offer the participating current CX5 owners to learn how to have the best driving position and also to improve their skills via dynamically designed courses.

The current model of the Mazda CX-5 is offered in three engine option - a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G, a 2.5-litre SKYACTIV-G and a 2.2-litre SKYACTIV-D. The smallest petrol engine makes 162 PS of power and 210 Nm of torque, while the bigger version makes 192 PS of power and 257 Nm of torque.

The sole 2.2-litre diesel can put up 173 PS of power but a whopping 420 Nm of torque at 4,500 and 2,000 RPMs respectively.

The interested owners of CX-5 would need to register their names as early as possible as the programme is limited to just 30 participants a day. You can choose any one day between October 13 (Saturday) and 14 (Sunday). The event will take place between 8 AM in the morning to 4 PM in the evening.

The limited slots will be given on the basis of ‘first come first serve’ and the participants are required to use their own vehicles. However, participants can choose only one day out of the two said dates.
